What percentage of Jews within the Soviet Union's 1938 borders died as a result of the Holocaust?

The figure here given results in 44% of Soviet Jews (within the 1938 borders) dying as a result of the Holocaust--which in turn means that 56% of Soviet Jews survived the Holocaust:

However, is this figure accurate or does this figure overestimate Soviet Jewish deaths within the Soviet Union's 1938 borders?

That seems roughly correct as about 2.7 million died east of the Curzon line. Take half of Poland's Jewish population and add it in with the estimated Jews murdered in Russia.... ~2.7 million.
