Soviet Airships during WWII

Post by Edward L. Hsiao » 26 Aug 2019 06:17

Soviet airships during WWII were used to transport small cargo, fuel, and people, and helped in searching for naval mines and sunken ships. Once an airship even survived an attack by Luftwaffe fighter. But despite being hit by hundreds of bullets,it still managed to get back to base. I remembered that Soviet airships were used also for paratrooper practices during WWII. My question is there a list of known Soviet airship losses during WWII due to German flak and fighter?

Good Day.
During the Second World War, 4 airships took part to support the activities of the Red Army: USSR V-1, USSR V-12, Kid and Victory.
There were no losses among them.
