very impressive memorials, one question allowed, why were some monuments painted later in these terrible colors..?

no money for poor regions. for good repairs. maybe it's for the best. there are a lot of monuments and graves. I was recently in Volgograd. children like the squirrels on the memoreal (mamaev kurgan). WW2 the war will end when the last monument is destroyed.

I understand, what you are trying to tell us, the monuments are haunted by hordes of children, like squirrels...

Please, show us more of these war memorials, they are more than impressive.
I remember german friends, visiting several of these places, many years ago, on the search for the fate of german fathers and
grandfathers, fallen on russian soil.
They were always very impressed about the russian war memorials, for good reasons...
