Well, it obviously wasn't meant as a serious "rant", so you may laugh all you like. But I'd like for you to take the non-humorous parts seriously, my Polish friend.

I do take your 'rant' seriously but I am not one to defend Poland's actions during WW2 :D
I think Poland made a lot of STUPID decisions ones that could have been avoided even before the war - we would have lost way less people if we weren't the most 'tolerant' nation in Europe 8O

And yes I do have Russian roots but that does not mean I can not critize stupidity be it my families or my backgrounds.

My original post has been 'toyed' with since HALF OF IT IS HERE and HALF of it is in the RUSSIAN SUICIDE MISSIONS thread - I have no idea why this was made...

My point was that launching yourself at airplans was not dying for ANYTHING.

but it was a different kind of fight - Poland always strived for independence and always had to deal with people wanting to take it away so it very natural for Poland to fight like that but what 'our' (shame to say because it is not true) government did to our warriors we will never forget - move on yes but never forget - such a shame that Poles still vote for a socialist government - sometimes I don't question the Polish jokes.
The greatest failure on the part of the Western Allies was the transfer of Poland from one totalitarian regime to another. Not until 1990 would the dreams of the Free Poles be realised. What still gets me though is how such soldiers could be branded as "traitors"? They fought under the Polish flag. They sported the Polish coat of arms on their uniform.
And Stalin and his cronies had the nerve to brand them traitors?

Read this sentence carefully:
Stalin is the greatest(biggest, toughest) faschist leader this world has ever seen.
Taken from a newspaper clip in turkey.
If i was a russian in the era of ww2 i would run the hell away from russia,
'cos i dont want to be shot for being 30 minutes late to work!!
What kind of communism is this??? If my motherland will shoot me for being 30 minutes late to work, i won't care if it is invaded!!!
Or when the company retreats from the front line because of being outnumbered the whole company is killed for being traitors... F.ck Stalin and the other reds.. Leave giving my life for them, i won't give my sh.t to them!!!
Anyway defending your own home from the nazis would be different...

Let me ask you something, my Turkish friend. Would you care to provide any examples of a Russian getting shot for being thirty minutes late to work?

I have watched this thread from it's inception and seen it's tangent moves and twists. Nothing of any further substance will come from this.
