A M40/M42 German Helmet, with the usual Waffen-SS fake aged decal.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the helmet is right as rain. I have no idea how a person could make a determination of an aged decal from that photo or how they could even determine if an SS decal was real from that photo. Of course looking around I haven't seen any of the known SS helmet collectors posting here. Classic Quist with the definite double stamp. Helmet has been inspected by notable authorities and I've been collecting for 50 years and take it offensive when a person with absolutely zero knowledge about them post "Prepare for BAD NEWS"

Not a single question was asked or I would have been happy to explain. The rivet isn't black, it is field green which since you know nothing about Quist helmets I can see where a total newbie wouldn't understand that quist painted the helmet shells and applied split rivets later and often you find original helmets with different color split pins. But again not a single question asked, the only thing said was prepare for bad news. Unlike Mark I am a serious collector.

Mark I see you removed all of your post from FB. Don't you hate when you get caught in a lie?

What is bothering me is over on that FB group just this afternoon you called this forum and the members who answered i the negative concerning these and other irems very bad, vulgar and rude names. Hmmm

Mark you are ignorant. You called out a good helmet because you don't know the difference. As I read your post on this site I see how truly clueless you are. Now to the topic of plain old lying here, isn't that the reason you deleted your post so others couldn't see what a liar you are? You do understand I put zero faith in anything I have read from you and the ONE other person on this site that didn't like my helmet. I did however read your comments about me. Now who is rude and the name caller? Mark to address your last point I made it clear it was my helmet. I'm not like you at all, thank God.

I see you deleted all your post on FB about the helmet and after the admin of that group reviewed your comments here he removed you from the group. If I was the admin for this site and read some of the post you made I would kick you to the curb knowing real collectors are staying away due to your nonsense.
