Which uniforms are these?
Which uniforms are these?
Can someone shed light on this scene. The soldier on the left, by the Renault truck with his back to us seems to be Wehrmacht, but the others guarding the civilian prisoners... I don’t recognise their uniforms or cap badges. What am I missing - are they from an occupied countries’s forces?

Any more information on photo, where, when, what etc.?
Unforunatly what looks like a roadsign by the lamppost is too blurred to read. Occupied countries but not sure it’s a military force. More likely a police/guard unit of some sort.

That’s the problem Waleed, there is no more information with the photograph which I bought on eBay. The clues are the Renault truck - but that could be anywhere; the foreground left soldier; the mudguard insignia; architecture (which could be French); the corner lamp could be French; the cobbles - which somehow don’t look squared off enough to be French; the tall blondish man doesn’t look very French and the guard with the rifle - I don’t recognise the uniform or the cap shape or badge.

Re: Which uniforms are these?
I would say that are Dutch or Denmark auxiliary police
* Straight bolts were in use of Dutch Mannlicher rifles
