Hi all,
I need help on the different types of Polizei general's collar patches.
[picture is attached]
I believe it's OrPo general's pacthes.
Daluege worn these two as well.
Is it based on the regulation change made in 1942?
Please give me the history of these patches.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
Help on Polizei General Collar Patches
Re: Help on Polizei General Collar Patches
The first is known as "Larisch-Stickerei", worn by Army (Prussian) Generals since late 19th Century, but in red colour.
With long tradition in the German army, actually is used in Bundeswehr yet.
The second, is the 2nd pattern of the SS Generals oak leaves (Introduced in 1942), but in the green colour adopted
by police forces.
Kurt Daluege worn these collar patches as SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer and Generaloberst der Polizei,
this was his last rank. The first was worn by Daluege, as General der Polizei.
