Help Identifying Insignia, Ribbons and Pin

#1

Thanks in advance to anyone responding. Before I decide what to sell and what to keep, I am trying to identify the pieces in my grandfathers collection that he never told me about personally, or that I have forgotten from when I was a child what he told me about them.

I am sure these are all authentic and were in a box of my grandfathers with almost exclusively German items but I cannot guarantee any of the pieces country of origin or their exact period as so far we have determined he had items from WWI through the late 40's.

The standard size pen is in the photograph for scale:

1) Blue White and Red circular patch olive drab border

2) 3/4" by 1 1/2" ribbon with metal backing with pin. Made of three separate ribbons, top black and silver, middle blue and white, bottom black and white with red middle band and crossed swords.

3)Button hole ribbon bar with three bands that match #2 but w/o swords. Stamping appears to say: C W & Co --- SOLIDE ---

4) A Miner's Pick. It has a small XX on the back but mo other markings.

5)Red, Gold and Blue circular patch olive drab border

6) Gray 65 of a red field

7) Metal bar with three ribbons. Green and white, green yellow and red, red white black and yellow.

8) Yellow and red patch with fleur de lis.

9) Red and white patch with blue sword and branch. Olive drab border

The tricolour (1) seems to be the usual US Army Ground Forces but must be shown not as a french flag but with the blue top

the (7) is the post-war US Occupation forces in Austria mixing Austrian flag colours with the blue sword and branch for the US Army
Austria was occupied in 1945-1955

The 106th CAV is a desirable patch. It's French made.
