Dear forum members,
I want to make a repro M36 officer uniform (Waffen-SS, Medical officer).
I know that SS medical officers wore the normal SS collar tabs and shoulder boards with blue piping.
But did all doctors wore Rod of Asclepius cyphers on the shoulder boards? En did all doctors wore the SS medical officers sleeve diamond (see the picture below)?
Thank you for your help.

Re: Uniform SS Medical Corps
"Rod of Asclepius" cypher was worn by all medical officers in the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS, on his two shoulder
boards with cornflower blue Waffenfarbe.
* In theory, SS Sleeve Diamod for medical service had two variants, Diamond with piping for Medical Doctors, and
without piping for Medical Orderlies.
In the Sanitäts Abteilung of SS-Totenkopfverbände, a special right medical collar patch was worn, including a
cuff title with "Department of Health" lettering.
* ( Many pictures show that this is not met, and the irregular use of said Diamond, as is shown on the below picture ). Dr.Karl Brandt.

Re: Uniform SS Medical Corps
Wear of the Aesculapius rod on the shoulder boards by Waffen-SS medical officers was a widespread but wholly unofficial practice and, in fact, expressly forbidden by at least two RFSS orders (12 Dec. 1939 and 10 May 1940).
(It should be noted that the Waffen-SS utilized shoulder strap cyphers to a far lesser extent than the Wehrmacht, partially because the SS' system of cufftitles and sleeve diamonds often made such cyphers unnecessary.)
