Hello everyone, a few years ago I was given a nazi armband as a gift to go with my militaria collection, but I never really looked at it closely till yesterday, and now I'm starting to doubt it's authenticity. On it, is an stamp that states "Reichsfuhrer 1944" and has the SS lightning bolts. Upon further research, I've discovered that armbands with ink stamps should be treated as suspected fakes, and I highly doubt I have a reichsfuhrer's armband. I looked into it further and found the 16th SS Panzergrenadier Division Reichsführer-SS, and I highly doubt it belonged to any of them, considering my luck. I was told it came from an antique dealer who mainly deals with the american civil war, and states that he was unable to get any information on its stamping. I have included pictures, and was wondering if someone could verify that it's a fake for me. I don't have a black light on hand, so I cannot do that test, but I've learned that only means it MIGHT be real. Thank you in advanced.
It wont let me upload, so I had to use puush too upload, I can reupload later if you like

Re: Another post about armbands
I believe it is a reproduction due to the poor construction and the spurious ink stamp, I may be wrong but it is not one that I would want in my collection (JMHO).
