Leather reinforced trousers

#1

Post by Stabsveterinar » 08 Jul 2017, 16:23

Hi all.

I keep this photo of my father, Stabsveterinär in the Spanish Infanterie Division 250.

It seems that he wears a leather reinforced trousers. Searching in the web, I´ve seen that the colour of the leather reinforcement can vary from brown to grey-blue. Also that reinforcements were also made of field grey fabric due to leather shortages.

It seems to me logic that veterinaries wore reinforced trousers.

Can anyone help me about if these trousers were issued always to mounted personnel and about possible leather colours used?

Thanks in advance.
