WHAT IS THIS BAYONET???
sOMEONE SENT ME THIS PIC FOR MY INFO. I said I think it's European 20th century, ANY exact information?
Re: WHAT IS THIS BAYONET???
Mark,
This bayonet is a U.S. M1895 Lee Navy bayonet, can't tell if it's a Remington (usually marked in the reverse fuller) or a Winchester (marked under the guard)..... Jenzen's "Bayonets" Reference,Pg. 219 #2/#3. Harding 131/144, Kiesling Vol. I #48/Vol. III #524. Too bad it's missing it's locking button, would be a pretty scarce bayonet.
Hope this helps....
John G.

Hello
Sorry in advance for piggy backing on this post but I'm new to the forum and haven't figured out how to post yet.
I've just inherited this bayonet from my uncle and was wondering if someone could give me more information about it. I'm assuming it's WW2?
Thanks in advance.

Re: WHAT IS THIS BAYONET???
Forgot about this thread, the lady was happy to get the true description from AHF, was not happy as to the condition and worth.I posted links of the bayo on other sites that are for sale, so she could see for herself
