Thoughts on this Japanese Flag?

#1

Post by MikeS0000 » 05 Jan 2018, 03:34

Hi Folks -

I know I'm not giving a lot to go on, but here goes...

I would like to get a Japanese flag to display with some of the items I have from the 1st and 2nd WW Period. Stewarts had this one and I just picked it up. Unfortunately they have taken it down from the for sale area and these are the only photos I have. The description said it had leather corners where the attachments are and no writing.

Link to sale: https://secure.stewartsmilitaryantiques ... 281db131a1

I do have three or five days to return if the opinion is that it is not period made, and I am not looking for a $500 flag. So, any thoughts or what to look for appreciated!

Best regards,
- Mike

Can't be sure based on these poor pictures, but obviously a Japanese Meatball "National flag".... Stewarts is generally a "decent source" and the price is within the range of a plain flag... however, actual time period is pretty much anyone's guess. Best I can do for you.

Thanks John!

Pretty much what I was looking for. It will be a backdrop for some rifles, helmets, etc...

Best Regards!
