I would be grateful for any help in identifying this sleeve badge believed to be from WW2.

Many thanks
Phil

Thanks for confirming it is an Italian sleeve chevron as I had no idea which country it was from. Do you think it might be a Corporal Major chevron as I've just had a quick look at Militaryimages.net under Italian Army Insignia which shows the Sergeant rank as yellow not red? I don't know how authentic Militaryimages is as a website but I do trust and value the support from people like yourself.

Many thanks
Phil

The color doesn't make a difference, only the chevron themselves..... Just checked my reference and it is for a Sergeant.

That's great. Thanks for checking and confirming the rank. Just goes to show that you cannot believe everything you read on the internet and to always check trusted sources!

No, color make difference!
This , in red, was for caporal ;if yellow ( or gold) was for sergeant ( silver for Carabinieri).
For caporal major or sergeant major you must add another small strip.

Correct of course, wasn't home when I answered and didn't have my references available, didn't think to check later.... My mistake!
