Hi, what kind of vest used by these panzerjäger crew in front of Erwin Rommel?

In all seriousness it looks either like burlap sack material that's been painted or possibly excess Drillich oatmeal colored work uniform material that has been field painted and tailored. Each appears to have a 3 button closure to the front, loop and button likely not button hole. You can see some of the helmets have this material as well. It does not appear to be Splittertarn but may possibly be Sumpftarn material if its not just hand painted.
