German dog tag

Post by tlustymen » 02 Jun 2019 14:18

Hello, my dad has recently found almost intact german dog tag. It has “1/L.B. BTL. 7/1(I)” written on it. We know that “1” stands for divison and btl for battalion and to our knowledge B.L. should be about the task of the divison, like luftwaffe or luftabwehr, but we don’t know what the L.B. itself actually stands for. Can anybody help us please?

L.B is registered as an abbreviation of Lichtbild ( photograph )
LB ( without a point ) is abbreviation for Landungsboote ( landing craft )
