Hello all,
I'm interning at a museum and I need to identify this cap. I've never seen a cap with this particular combination of components and I was unable to find any other examples online. The closest match was a Customs and Border Protection officers cap but several things still don't match. There have also been several items in the collection that turned out to be fake so that's certainly a possibility. Any information at all will be much appreciated.

Re: Officers Cap ID and Authentication
Hello ;
Welcome to AHF
This officer visor cap has Heer ( Army ) insignia, eagle doesn't match as an original and neither the cords, material and colours are strange
IMHO is not an original Schirmmütze
