Attention Helmet Collectors...

Post by FlashCash » 29 Aug 2019 01:03

Hi. I'm new on here. I have a WW II helmet that my dad left to me. I don't know anything about it but it's kind of interesting in that it has artwork on it, which I believe, was done by the original owner. Any and all comments and information are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Flashcash,
The helmet is a WW 1 German helmet. Interesting with the name and unit identification, too bad there so much wear to the art itself. Looks like someone took a few shots at the helmet after the artwork was applied. Still an interesting collectible helmet. These were usually painted and sold to the doughboy as souvenirs, not done by the soldiers themself. Definitely WW 1!
