Appears to be a wartime NCO Infantry visor hat, better quality lining than your average enlisted version, sweat shield missing which is the only question I would have, the cockade looks ok to me (many variations). There are good fakes, so can't be 100% sure but nothing jumps out to make me doubt it being good. Seeing the eagle would help....

Hum...this wreath cockade looks bad, at least it is not the official pattern used by the German army

Also, the chin strap looks weird and is clearly not original. Sorry, but this beauty is just another repro.
