M40 Camouflage Helmet pre. 1945!?

Hallo Guys,

I got this M40 Camouflage helmet, that has a little stone and sand applied to the paint! Marked rem and liner apparently dated 1945 in pen.

What you think about the paint? Could it be pre. 1945
Helmet is found in Norway.
