Ottoman Flag dated to 1916

I would be grateful for any information about an Ottoman-era flag, especially about its markings. Many thanks in advance for enlightening me !
The black ink inscription reads "d.k.u.k. Kraftfahrformationen in der Türkei 1916".
The right-hand side (or top) red ink print is a tughra of Sultan Reshad I believe.
The left-hand side (or lower) rend ink inscription is in Ottoman character and is quite faded.

The Austro Hungarian Empire did send a Military Vehicle Corps to the Ottomans in 1916 to aid their small detachment there fighting in the palestine campaign.

If this is an original however I cannot tell. I find it kind of weird that an Austro-Hungarian Unit would fly a Ottoman flag.
