Part of ceremonial uniform??

#1

Post by nitram22 » 08 May 2021, 05:18

One of my friends showed me one of these today(see pic). We are under the impression that it would have been part of a ceremonial uniform??
The blade is steel but the rest looks to be aluminum.
Just wondering if our assumptions are correct and see how valuable or rare it is.

Thanks.

Luftwaffe Offizierdolch 0f 1937. Worn by officers and senior NCO of the air force, Fairly common as daggers go. Value depends on condition, and since yours has the hanger and portepee, my guess it would be in the $600 range.
