Fallschirmjager Uniforms

Good morning,
I have been looking online recently for information on what uniforms the Fallschirmjager would have been using in the Normandy campaign and later. So far google has provided little so hoping this forum can help.

I understand that a typical Jager when supplies were plentiful would have had the issued jump smock and jump trousers along with the cut down helmet. However I have seen photos and heard accounts that as the war went on troops wore whatever they could get there hands on. Is it possible that Fallschirmjager troops would have worn general army helmets, general issue grey trousers or camouflaged trousers, and same in regard to smocks?

or did the Fallschirmjager QMs keep there units in official uniforms?
