Number of German soldiers' helmets captured by the Red Army
During the June 1945 victory parade in Red Square, Moscow, commemorating the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, helmets worn by German soldiers that had been captured by the Red Army were put on display on the outskirts of Red Square and displayed as war trophies/booty. Does anyone have statistics on the number of helmets' worn by German soldiers that were captured by the Red Army after Soviet victories at Stalingrad, Leningrad, and Kursk?
