I was thinking of buying this and was hoping I can get some opinions on original or not. Thanks.

Hello adler3:

I think it is a reconditioned tunic not original.

It would be important to be able to see the tailoring tags.

The seller said that there is not any tailor tags inside. It has the dagger hanger system. I can take pictures when I get it. I have it posted on the WAF forum and most of the community likes it.

Most of them, not all.....? Then I'll go in with the minority.
Personally I don't like it, and it seems more suspicious to me because it has no tags or marks.

You collect opinions, but the last decision is yours.

adler3,

if your question has already been answered in an expert forum, why ask again here?
Some kind of double insurance, or what drives you?

Btw, your link only works for registered users in the WAF.

I have sent pictures to several high end dealers for opinions. One can always get a few good or bad opinions but if I don't know you personally I my be talking to someone who is big on mouth and small on knowledge. If I get several opinions I can then get a consensus.

adler3,

what you answer is recognizable, not very friendly and nice, but be it so, you continue to have success for your (further) requests...

I contacted Bill Shea and he said the tunic looks good but he would have to have it in hand to see the eagle.

I like more this specimen of tunic, certainly an original.
It is supposed to be the same tunic model.

Good God, look at the length of those sleeves.

And for what it's worth.. I like the original tunic. Like it's shape as well. If I was gunning for one, that would be it.

Mark I decided to not go that rout. It keeps getting positive reviews and I want to have it in hand to see the back of the buttons and the inside. I will post the pictures for review. Also some have said the reason the shoulder boards are off is its a small tunic on a large mannequin.
