Hi, does someone know the correct German name for this kind of boot, with some opening in the front?

Well I would say these are not boots but leather gaiters, in German Lederstulpen or Stiefelschäfte, worn over short boots or shoes, see here.

regards

What Helmut said.

Another term for these is Ledergamaschen [leather gaiters]. This is also how they were designated in the catalog of the Heeres-Kleiderkasse (where four different models priced from 12 to 24 Reichmark a pair were available).

Officers could wear them with breeches or boot-cut trousers instead of high boots. They were not very common, but some officers (usually, older ones) preferred them.

Also, NCOs and other ranks could wear the leather gaiters with the Reichswehr's leather driving suit and, optionally, for off-duty motorcycling.
