Tätigkeitsabzeichen für das Sanitätsunterpersonal der Wehrmacht (WW2 medic sleeve patch for enlisted and NCOs)

Hello,

I wasn't able to find the answer for my question using the search function, so I decided to post a new topic:

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post pictures here, but I'm sure you're familiar with the green sleeve patch (Tätigkeitsabzeichen) depicting the rod of asclepius that was worn on the sleeve of NCOs (with a silver frame?) and enlisted medical personnel.

However, I assume it wasn't worn by all soldiers in the Sanitätsdienst (at least not from what I can tell looking at historical photos and pictures, although it's often difficult to make out) ans so I became a bit confused: Who would've worn it? Only trained medical personnel in a (field) hospital or also frontline medics and/or even Krankenträger? Did it signify special training (and if so, who would've been trained) or really just the "Tätigkeit" or function a soldier was tasked with? Could it be worn by soldiers outside of medical units (like for example a Sanitätsunterofficer / Medic NCO assigned on a company level)?

I'd be grateful if anyone here would explain this to me. 😅
