Officer's Boots
Officer's Boots
I have a pair of Officer's boots and I was wondering whether someone could advise me on the rarety of these. Are they hard to come by? Could I have a rough estimate of their value?
Thanks

Boots
If you can post a photo, or a few detailed photos, I can help, boot values can go from $25 to $300+ if there SS, but many different boots from different countries were used by the Germans, and that can make a price difference.

Firstly, thanks for your reply. I do not have any photographs available, I could take some, but that will take time. Is there anything I could look for to help identify the boots? They belonged to my great grand father who was last in the headquarters with WK XII. I'm not sure how often boots were replaced during the war. Attached to the inner lining of each boot are the two foulded pieces of cloth, stripped light brown and green, I don't know if that will help or not, probably standard.
Thanks again

The second photograph here shows the two pieces of folded cloth I was talking about. Also there is a single piece of leather with a button hole on the inside of each of the boots.

The first photo here shows the soles of the boots and the second shows the pattern of the leather joins in more detail. I hope these photographs show an adequate amount of detail for identification. Is it possible to say where these boots were made and approximately when they were made? Any help, advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Boots
These appear from your photos to be standard German Style Officers hightop boots. Value on these, runs about $75. Years ago, they ran about $200+, but there is a flood of boots now, and it has driven prices down a lot. Sometimes you get them at $35-$125 on todays market, of course, value depends on size, any makers marks inside, and condition of the soles, most if not all boots, were resoled many many times during the war from use. Since there are not maker stampings, they sometimes stamped inside the boot, its impossible to tell who made them, or when, this style has been around many years before the war, and after the war. Hope that helps some.
