Chevron on the arm with the SS uniforms???
I have noticed that many SS officer (maybe Enlisted) uniforms have a chevron "V" or double chevron on the sleeve. What is the purpose of this? Is it on other uniforms other than SS? Anyone know?

Hello!
Maybe you mean the so called "Ehrenwinkel" which was worn on the right upper arm. It was worn by long term members of the SS which were member already before the war.

For the record
The "Alte Kämpfer" chevron was worn, for members who joined the SS or NSDAP, before the 30th January 1933.
