need tunic value help

Post by Mark C. Yerger » 28 Mar 2002 19:41

Hi

Have a WWII German Army piped walking out tunic, piped orange for ordnance with cogwheel emblem on company level officer shoulder boards. 2 ribbon on bar, with aigulette. Not cut for dagger, mint condition. Need help with estimate of value.

Thanks
Mark

If you can provide a picture, that will make all the difference in the world, its very hard to place an estimate on just a description, but, Normally, piped service tunics go for higher prices than non-piped. Officer rank piped tunics, depending on service color, can run up to $1500, but average can be in the $850 price range, since yours is described as a harder to find branch color, I, and again without photo, would put it in the $900+ range, everything depends on a photo.

Thanks for the ballpark estimate, lack ability to show a photo. Its all machine sewn insignia, etc and mint, having been looked at by all the "big" named dealer/collectors is totally unscrewed with. No mistaking orange as piping color (aside from shoulder cypher).
