The edges are cut diferrently. The liner and strap is different. The Spanish have more and different holes and splints on the shell. WHen you REALLY want a spanish helmet, change the liner and strap and put a German Camo Cover over it.

hi, the un-rolled edges of the m42 flare out, on the spanish version, they don`t. the spanish helmet has a `lug` on the front for a badge/emblem, the m42 doesn`t. the m42 is heavier, generally. the m42 like all combat model german helmets, has three holes other than the ventilation holes, used for the three liner attachment split `rivets`.the spanish model has, if i remember correctly, seven holes. the spanish chinstrap and liner systems are a cheap looking canvas affair, whilst the german 1931 liner is the same as found in the other series` combat helmets.leather inner with steel/aluminium/zinc inner and outer bands. AND finally, the spanish helmet is considered smaller than the german helmet of the same headsize.

Hey, I would be grateful for yours help, since I have never heard about spanish version of german helmet m42 before.
Did spanish soldiers in 50s and 60s use this kind of helmet?

Does this type of helmet occur on this image?

I don't see any Spanish helmets on this movie captures.
Seem to be M40/M42 German helmets.
Spanish Army used originals M35 German helmets, and later a bad copy of this helmet, made in Spain, called Mº Z-42.

After a detailed examination of the helmets, I can say in 100% There is no element to indicate that spanish version of german helmets were used in movie Kelly's Heroes.
Especially no badge on the front observed, what suggest to me it is german helmets.
