Haydarpascha rail station

Mates,

Can you give any details on what happened to this rail station after it was destroyed by the fire in 1917 and later bombed by the British.

Did the Ottomans move to another rail station or did the Haydarpascha rail station continue to be the jounction of the rail network.

Was the rail line south a double line or single line toward the coast and to Palestine?

Does anyone have a rail map of the Ottoman Empire during the war?

Some one on another site wants to know how the released British PoW's traveled from there camps in the Mountains to be evacuated by sea from either Smyrna or from Istanbul.

Some British accounts mention they left from Smyrna while other give Istanbul?

Cheers

I took this photo of Haydarpaşa train station on May 6th 2018 while my last visit to İstanbul. The building was fired some 2 years ago. Now under construction.

answer: the Haydarpascha rail station continued to be the main station of the Bagdad line with its huge back side rail network.

Unfortunately one of the buildings was used as ammunition storage and the whole place exploded on Sept. 6, 1917; even before British bombed rail facilities. Rail cargo traffic was restored after the WWI, but station building had been in ruins until 1933.
