Turkish Artillery colours for Middle East

Post by Helen Bachaus » 09 Jan 2007 00:06

Hello

Can anyone assist myself in colours for Turkish Artillery during the campaigns in the Middle East. After reading alot of posts and seeing a number of imports from Austria, Germany, etc I'm just trying to peg down what the primary colour was and if there were colour variations for different areas of the Middle East. Would they have left the primary colours on the imports? And if so, could you please provide the detail.

I'm speculating that captured guns kept their primary colour throughout the time of use.

Thanks for your time

Helen

Helen,

Turkish guns usually kept their original colours: mostly grey-green ( as for artillery branch, the officers had dark blue on their uniform collars and so it is at present).
