Ottoman Delegation at Moudros

http://www.let.leidenuniv.nl/tcimo/tulp ... LIDDLE.htm

October 1918:
The next day the Ottoman delegation, consisting of Lieutenant Colonel Sadullah (Chief of Staff of the 8th Army), (Secretary General at the Foreign Office) and Hüseyin Rauf Bey (Navy Minister and head of the delegation) left for Moudros, where they arrived on the 26th.

Has anyone got further biographical details on Sadullah Bey and Rauf Bey?

Naval Minister Huseyin Rauf Bey (Orbay) was the captain of Battleship Hamidiye during Balkan Wars. We discussed about him in an another page about "Hamidiye"

Staff Lt. Col. Sadullah Bey: I have found little about him. Tank Staff Col.Asst.Prof.Dr. Gorgulu mentions his family name as "Guney" in his book "On Yıllık Harbin Kadrosu" (Personal of Ten Year Long War)

A photo of him from the book "Yakın Tarihimiz" (Our Reccent History) p.240

Staff Lt. Col. Sadullah Bey:
Col. Ismet Gorgulu mentiones his full name "Ali Sadullah Guney"(Col. Guney)
p.17:
Major Sadullah Bey was a staff officer at the General HQ during Balkan Wars. The other well known personalities were Maj. İsmet (Inonu), Maj. Fahrettin ( Gen. of the Army Altay), Capt. Refet ( Gen. Bele), Maj. Kazim ( Gen. Inanc), Maj. Kazim ( Gen. Dirik), Maj. Asim ( Gen. Gunduz), Maj. Ali Ihsan (Gen. Sabis)

This indicates that they were all from the same class of War school the Harbiye.

p.140:
During the 1st Canal Expedition ( Jan.14th-Feb. 5th 1915) Maj. Sadullah was staff officer of the 8th Army the Kuvveyi Seferiye, (The Expeditionary Forces)
After the reorganization of the 4th Army in Jarusalem for the 2nd Canal Expetition Maj. Sadullah was staff officer.

During 1st & 2nd gazze battles after the 2nd Canal Expedition Lt. Col. Saduyllah Bey was chief of staff of the 8th AC.

During the fights on oct. 1917-Sept. 1918 we was the inspector of the Range of the 4th Army.

During Nablus Field battle onSep.19/21 1918 and the fights arond Haleppo onSept. 22-Oct. 25 1918 he was chief of staff of the 8th Army.

TS Nota:Just before the Armistrace he was ordered to come to Izmir and join to the delegation of Huseyin Rauf Bey as military adviser.

Unfortunately there is no more information about him. Some sources says that he was made Chancellor of the Ministry of Air Affairs during the Republic.

May his grave be in light
So mote it be!
