Maj.Ismet Staff officer at General HQ during Balkan War

Maj.Ismet staff officer at the HQ of right Wing Army during the operation to take Edirne back from Çatalça and Bolayır.(On Juy 15th Midye-Enez Line, on 21st July Kırklareli and July 22nd Edirne was taken back.

Maj. Ismet Assistant Opretaions Officer at the General HQ at the beginning of WW1

Col.Ismet Bey c.o.s. of the 2nd Army at East Front during the battles along the River Murat July-September 1916

Col. İsmet Bey commander of the2nd AC after the KIA of Colak Faik Pasha on August 30th 1916.

Col. İsmet Bey commander of the 4th AC during the battles along the River Murat in Winter 1916-17

Col.İsmet Bey commander of the 3rd AC after the 2nd Canal Expedition and 1st & 2nd Gazze battles (End of 1916-first half of 1917) and

Col. İsmet Bey Commander of West Front during the 1st Inonu Battle (Jan. 6-11.1921)

Brigadier İsmet Pasha Commander of West Front during Second battle of İnonu ( March 23rd-April 4th 1921)
After the news reach to Mustafa Kemal Pasha that the greek army reteading he congraqulated Ismet Pasha by a telegram "To Ismet Pasha on Metristepe Hill, Sir You not only defeated the greek army but the bad fate of Turkish Nation."
