These four figures are taken from various wartime pictures, and show Ottoman wearing 'foreign' uniforms:
The Khedive of Egypt, Abbas II un-throned by the British in 1914 who fought on the Ottoman side as a Marshal, he wears a Ottoman Army issue white summer officer's tunic, and star shoulder boards, with the addition of the cross-sword & baton of a British General - in the Army of Egypt, this rank was for the 'SIDAR' which was assigned to the British Commander-in-Chief of the British-controlled Egyptian Army.
A soldier of the XV Corps in East Europe, issued with Austrian tunic. Pictured here with the sign for the General Commanding the XV.
A turkish soldier in a Regimental flag party wearing a German M1910 tunic.
Finally, an Arab soldier in the Ottoman army, denoted with the 'Order of Orta' crescent badge, indicating as Auxiliary soldiers of the Imperial Army.
