Dear Tosun Saral,

Albert Bildstein was my great grandfather. I am researching my heritage and only know what I could find on the internet.

Do you have any more information about him? Like what exactly was he in charge of? daily life, means of transportation, postings?

Could you tell me which person in the first picture he is, as its not clear to me? is it the last one on the right hand side? (looks like my father)

Do you have any more pictures of him or letters?

I am thankful about any information you can give me. I suppose there are no Infos about his character and if he had any children in Turkey?

Kind regards,

Agnes Mahler, Vienna/Austria

Dear Agnes, I am very pleased to know that you are a granddaughter of a great sportler and turkish officer . Unfortunately there is no information on austrian ski mission in der türkei. unfortunately I am the first one who wrote on ths mission. What ı found are from austrian sources. Sorry. Bitte sagen Sie meine schöne Grüsse an mein beliebtes Österreich und Wien.

Tosun,

The Ranglisten des Kaiserlichen und Königlichen Heeres 1918 shows him with the Autotruppe?

Bilgeri Georg Maj deR (Col) KUK commander Mountain and Ski School shown Autotruppe (MT Co) 1916-18 KUK from Feldjagerbatail Nr 19 shown with Gallipoli star Ottoman War Medal

I did wonder if he stayed in Turkey after the Ski School with the KUK Auto Companies?
