The General Inspector of 9th Ottoman Turkish Army General Mustafa Kemal Pasha (Atatürk) landed on port of Samsun at Black Sea coast on May 19th 1919 100 years ago. He sailed from Istanbul on May 15th 1919 by the order of Sultan and Ottoman Government to sattle the emnities between Rum citizens of Ottoman Empire and turkish moslem population. After the treaty of Mondrus Ottoman Empire released arms and discharged most of the armies. Most of her territories were occupied by Entente. The Rum (Greek) population took the opportunity to establish a tiny greek state called Pontus. Againts such a riots turkish moslem population organized themselves by armed groups and begun to fight againts Pontus Rums. Soon Rums lost at many fights. So they wanted help from the ruling Britain toprotect themselves. According to British order Ottoman Government send a mission under Mustafa Kemal Pasha to solve the problem.
There were 28 officers and 25 soldiers totally 53 personal under his command. The were also 18 horses.
After landing on Samsun Mustafa Kemal Pasha immediately begun to organize a national movement againts british puppet the Ottoman Sultan and forces of british and french occupation.

Artillery Commander of 9th Army Inspectorate Artillery Major Kemal Bey ( LtGeneral Doğan) Hero of Fights againts the French at Cilicia. He organized the national milis of South Turkey by the order of Mustafa Kemal Pasha againts the invading Franch at Adana and Mersin and on the Taurus mountains. For that reason the french signed a treaty with National Turkish government of Ankara at Ankara.

Inf. Staff Col. İbrahim Refet (Majorgeneral Bele, Or Refet Pasha ) Commander of 3rd AC.
He commanded 3rd Inf Div. during 2'nd Canal Expetition. Fought at Palestina and Syria during WW1.

Refet Pasha ( Bele) In 1922 commissioned as Representative of Ankara National Government to Istanbul to take over Istanbul and Trace.

After the peace treaty he sudied Law at Istanbul University and cvhanged his military class from Inf. to judge.
