Tosun,

The 10cm Bty had me looking, I did notice Lt later Capt Hoffmann is shown with No 20th Bty KUK (24cm) Artillery?

Are there two officers named Hoffmann?

Can I add also Capt Friedrich

As the photo shows "Lt. Pfeffer, 2nd Lt. Schauff, Dr. Keménn

while the other photo shows

" Lt. Roman Kesselring, 2nd Lt. Stöhr, 2nd Lt. Hamid Efendi, Battery medical officer Dr. Ederer M.D"

Are there tow Capt Friedrich's?

And Capt (Rittmister) Seutter C., I notice he has more to his name, von Ergon?

Can you read what it said?

Cheers

Not Hoffmann but Hofman (Robert Hofman) Robert Hofman became later a very famous artist and draw caricaturen, wrote articles at "Die Muskete"
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Captain Hugo Friedrich
Hugo Friedrich was made c of the battery on 17.10. 1917. On 24.1.1918 at Nazareth a turkish artillery Battalion Nr 75 with 2 heavy howitzer batteries was given t0 his order.
Robert Hofman was a battryy- commander .He never commanded 20th. If so I made a mistake please correct.

Tosun,

Sorry mate, what Battery were Robert Hofman and Hugo Friedrich in?

Also the paper has more on Capt (Rittmister) Seutter C., I notice he has more to his name, von Ergon?

Can you read what the paper said?

Intersting about the Ottoman 75th Bty, I record it as;

75th Heavy (Agir) How Bty (2x 150mm how)

I don't show a 75th Artillery Bn but do show these?

72nd Heavy (Agir) How Bn (11Bty 256Bty or 11Bty 12Bty or 5Bty 12Bty 13Bty)
73rd Heavy (Agir) How Bn (12Bty 13Bty or 13Bty 14Bty)
74th Heavy (Agir) How Bn (14Bty 15Bty or 15Bty 257Bty or 256Bty 257Bty)

Batteries in these units appear to move around at times.

Christian,

Interesting, I also notice another Officer on that list?

Shown as Tiergaertner by Tosun

The list shows him as Thiergartner Felix

I did notice there are other officers on that list which show FJO-R

Maj Muller von Rienzburg Wilhelm, and

Maj Barth Karl, and others

Did they go to Turkey?

I tried other officers but had little come back?

Dumba Lt

Only one officer shown is Dumba Theodor , but not shown as a Kraftfahrtruppe?

I am confussed?

The KUK Transport Company in Turkey appears to be moved all around the Empire with;

att 2nd Army at Diyarbakir around 10-17

Kraftfahrtruppe Transportation units in Palestine

What do we know about this unit, how many Trucks and other vechicles. What was its strength?

Cheers

Dear Steve,

if you follow my link above you will find a March 1918 list of all officers of the Autotruppe there. But without actual unit designation. It appears that the unit designations listed there are the last one from prewar 1914.

Steve I also noticed Thiergartner Felix on the list. I will be back in Ankara on Nov 15. I will look at the book of Hans Guhr again if I had done a typing mistake. :)
