Mates,

I notice in the Offical Turkish history of the Turkish General Staff, around page 72, a mention of a Lt Nazim shown as a skillfull Chief of Staff later commander of the 4th Div and martyr in the War of Inderpendence.

I could not find any record of him and wondered if I misspelled his name else where like;

Nazmi (Kurar) Staff officer 3rd Corps Capt

Naci (Tinaz) CofS 1st Corps & Chief of Operations - 3rd Corps 10-17 & CofS 3rd Corps & CofS 20th Corps & CofS 14th Corps Capt to Maj

Or did I just missed him?

Do you have any details on Lt later Col Nazim?

Cheers

Staff Major Mehmet Nazım Bey C of Regiment 177 20th Corps, 46th Division with other allied commanders on the Macedonian front. To his left, German Commander General Feldmarasal Mackenzen stands with all his pride, with his back turned to the turkish major, with the expression that he does not give any attention . Other officers are the commanders of the Austrian-Hungarian army.

Mate,

Many thanks.

I brave man, with a sad ending.

So many wasted lives that could have made a better world.

Stay safe
