[Topic renamed by the host, Ivan Ž.]

I am looking informations on Hans Hoffmann, Cellist, Cither player who was musicians at the Musikkorps from the Kommandantur Wehrmacht Gross Paris during the war from july 1940 till june 1944.
He was cellist professor before the war.
Is anyone may help me to found his origin was he Austrians as many other musicians of this Orchester or was he German?

I would like to know his distiny, did he died or survived the war.

Hello,

Many thanks to all of you whose have helped us.
After a year of research we have identified Hans Hoffmann.
We were also helped by an other forum http://www.vermisst-gefallen.net/
He was born the 3 Dezember 1907 im Mainz, and he died im Gerstetten the 24 April 1945.
He was injured im Le Menil the 8 November 1944.

The research was quite difficult because Orchester members were not registered as Musiker. There were in others Units.

Many thanks for your help and to the kindness of members which allowed to Mr Delorme to know who was his father.
Best regards

Franck
