So I'm assuming everyone has their copies of "Hoch Deutschlands Flotte! Music of the Imperial German Navy in Archival Recordings 1907-1917" by now...?

I'd like to hear from Ivan as to how accurate the performer credits are; usually anything by Brandenburg Historica is pretty good though I think...

I don't have the CD yet, but I can assure you that the info is fine, since it's all copied directly from the original records.

Thank you for the information, the report on the French waffen ss it is an original or a reconstruction after war it is sometimes on the verge of the comedy but in the time(period) the propaganda was often exaggerated. I believe that it is necessary to write in English on the forum

Third Reich Music Favourites
16 famous tracks from Tomahawk’s military marching & soldier-song series
Digital Remastering: Simon Wood

The Military Music of Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich

01. The Horst Wessel Song
02. Bomben auf Engeland
03. Westerwald [...]
04. Preussens Gloria

05. Wir fahren gegen Engeland
06. Fallschirmjägerlied
07. Mein Regiment, mein Heimatland
08. Panzer rollen in Afrika Vor

Wunschkonzert für die Wehrmacht

11. Drei Madels
12. Kreuzritter Fanfare
13. Lili Marleen
14. Im Schutzenhaus ist Blasmusik
15. Kartner Liedermarsch
16. Gute Nacht Mutter
NOT RECOMMENDED. This CD was supposed to be a commercial preview for the two larger CD sets of the same company; I don't see why would such an album exist in the first place, but nevermind that now. The sound quality is good, the track info doesn't exist, as usual - but the worst part is the fact that the track selection is very bad, and that, in my humble opinion, this compilation is actually an anti-commercial for those two larger CD sets. There are even two pre-Third-Reich and one post-Third-Reich recording, which is already too much for such a short compilation. And also, as it was mentioned here earlier, all tracks claimed to have been recorded during the "Wunschkonzert für die Wehrmacht" show (in this CD, those are tracks 9-16) are fakes and thus are all off-topic. Detailed info below.

Hi Ivan!

You've done a great job here!

Would you please be so kind to tell us what your sources for your exact informations are? Did you have access to some of the original vinyl records?

If you should have explained it already somewhere above in the thread and I should have overread your explanation, sorry for asking again!

Sources are the original records, period record catalogs, songcards, songbooks, original recording lists, music sheets, musical monthly reports, copyright catalogs, works of authors such as Prieberg and Toeche-Mittler, of course, and many others...

Cheers,
Ivan

Music of the Reichswehr
The first march from that CD is really "Reichswehr-Marsch" from Johann Brussig. He is a sufficiently popular composer among various German amateur brass orchestras.
