Third Reich Christmas songs

#1

Post by Axmann » 28 Nov 2007, 02:38

Does anyone know of popular Christmas songs from the era of the Third Reich? Perhaps where some can be found online? I have searched for these and have found nothing. If one knows of any titles or can share some recordings, I would be grateful.

Hohe Nacht der klaren Sterne would be classified as Third Reich Christmas material.

The Germans pretty well sung the same Christmas songs as did everyone everywhere.

That is correct.

There was, however, also a real Nazi Christmas song, entitled Weihnacht der SA, but it never caught on.
