[Split from Freikorps songs]

I got an old songbook from Stahlhelm/ Bund der Frontsoldaten, it contains many known germans songs.

Die Wacht am Rhein
Deutschland über alles (Deutschlandlied)
Muss i denn
Stahlhelmlied (mel. Preußenlied)
Annemarie
Argonnerwald
Bundeslied "Der Stahlhelm"
Drei Lilien
Hoch den Stahlhelm unseres Reiches.
Deutschland hoch in Ehren
Wenn die Soldaten
Hoch den Stahlhelm

Etc...

Many of the songs here are not to be found on the internet so the book is indeed a key to find rare freikorps songs. Just ask if you need more info!

/Dennis

Hello! I'm an accordionist (or learning, anyway) and a reenactor for the 116th Windhund Panzer Div. and I'd really like some sheet music to go with my impression. Or really ANY period sheet music would be fantastic particularly for the accordion. Even if its not for the accordion, if anyone has a batch PDF of some scans, I could use those too! Please link to your threads, media sharing, or anything you have that can help me out. Thank youu!

Hello,

I don't know how good you are reading notes but here are a lot of songbooks you can choose from.

Any information about Flemisch in German service (Waffen SS, OT, NSKK, Kriegsmarine, DRK, ...) during WWII is welcome.

Singende Kameraden, Heft 1

Post by Alexander B. » 03 Dec 2015 10:44

Something I'm a little surprised hasn't been discussed in greater detail on here! My very limited exposure to original songbooks so far has been overwhelmingly positive, generally speaking they're rather cheap if you do just a little bit of waiting, and they're also packed full of information. Sheet music, lyrics and author information usually including publishing date all in once neat package? Whats not to like?

Heres one from my collection.

Singende Kameraden: I originally purchased this rather small volume of 20 Herms Niel songs for the sole purpose of having the original published lyrics to "Wir sind Kameraden!" when I originally received the Kristall-2148 record. This may have been part of a larger series of songbooks as its labeld "book 1" right under the title. Perhaps someone more experienced than me could tell me if that is true?

I've merged your post with an older topic dealing with songbooks, please see the earlier posts too.
