Viktor Heidersberger & ein Musikkorps der Flak-Artillerie
Concerning Viktor Heidersberger, Musikmeister in a Flak unit (according to Prieberg, the leichte Flak-Abteilung 75 in Munich): It is possible that after the war, from 1955 until 1960 he was conducting the Musikverein Vilsbiburg (near Landshut, not so far from Munich):

PS, it's also possible that the future Bundeswehr military music consultant and former Wehrmacht officer Fritz Hartung was also in this music society.

List of records with recordings by "ein Musikkorps der Flak-Artillerie"
Hello again, everyone,
I've been enjoying working on my collection of Odeon records containing performances by "ein Musikkorps der Flak-Artillerie" as a mini-project while I still work on my SS-Standarte 42 discography; heres what I have in my archive so far, does anyone else know of any additional records released with content from them?
Cheers
Alex

Re: List of records with recordings by "ein Musikkorps der Flak-Artillerie"
Hello, Alex
That's all that they recorded for Odeon (I don't know whether they made recordings for another label, I sure haven't heard of any).
They had three recording sessions:
- 26.03.1941 (two tracks, released on O-26451)
- 01.09.1941 (four tracks, released on O-26481 and O-26482)
- 02.09.1941 (six tracks, released on O-26483, O-26484 and O-26510)
Cheers,
Ivan

Hello Ivan,
So good to hear from you again.
Thanks for the info! I guess I can throw in the towel on that series. I think its a nice little collection of recordings, I really am a huge fan of at least 3 or 4 of the recordings and think they're wonderfully performed, I think some of them aren't quite "jaunty" as their counterparts by other bands, relatively ridged performances; but, thats certainly not wrong or unexpected!
Cheers
