SA-Singschar "Rote Erde"

A lesser known SA chorus that also recorded for the "Telefunken" Company, besides the recently-discussed SA-Sturm 33/1, was the SA-Singschar "Rote Erde". The group was founded in 1931 in Bochum-Langendreer by (Bochum-born) Erich Wintermeier.

To my knowledge, Wintermeier's chorus had only one recording session (05.08.1933), with four tracks recorded:

1933 Telefunken 19227 Verfehmte Fahnen (Wintermeier)
1933 Telefunken 19228 Lied der Arbeitslosen (Wintermeier)
1933 Telefunken 19229 Die braune Kompanie (Wintermeier)
1933 Telefunken 19230 Erbsen mit Speck (Wintermeier)

According to the Telefunken recording list, the soloist (in the first two songs) was Paul van 't Oever, who recorded one more song during this recording session, accompanied by Erich Wintermeier on piano: "Wir zogen heim aus Flandern" (unreleased, matrix number 19231).

Good day everyone,

I was digging around and found out that Carl Woitschach supposedely made a recording of the song "Flieg', deutsche Fahne, flieg'!" with the Singschar Rote Erde. I would like to ask whether this is true or if this is just a case of misidentification or false information. Thank you very much.

Good day, D-General

It's a misidentification based on guesswork.

Cheers,
Ivan
