[Split from Unidentified SS bands]

Hello!

Just accidentially found this photo here, at the forum: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 1#p1265611

Could it be the Musikkorps des Ausbildungs- und Ersatzregiments "Deutschland" under the direction of Fritz Bunge?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I believe you are right about the conductor being Bunge - but Gustav-Adolf Bunge, not Fritz. He is shaped like G. A. Bunge, his rank and the size of his ribbon bar + the decoration below match too. As the date and location suggest, the band is of the SS-Artillerie-Ersatz-Regiment (formerly band of the SS-VT-Ersatz-Sturmbann "Deutschland").

Cheers,
Ivan
