Post by Ivan Ž. » 28 Sep 2020 13:12

One of the best known German bandleaders of all time, Obermusikmeister Adolf Becker (who earned his fame as the bandleader of the Kaiser Franz Garde Grenadier Regiment No 2), pictured in the 1920s, as the bandleader of the III Battalion, 9th (Prussian) Infantry Regiment (the famous band which was later led by Adolf Berdien; Becker led the band from 1921 to 1925).

Becker after his retirement (he retired in 1925 and led a brass band known as the Blasorchester des Obermusikmeisters a.D. Adolf Becker).

Several good shots of Becker can be also found here https://grammophon-platten.de/print.php ... orum.32935

For example (as bandleader of the Kaiser Franz Regiment):
