I have recently come across a 78 rpm recording on Clangor number T 2063 called "Wir SS sind lust'ge Brüder." I am pretty sure that the melody will be the same as "Musketier' sind lust'ge Brüder." The schellack is instrumental only and is performed by LSSAH Ltg. Müller-John. I assume that the SS changed the lyrics around a bit from the original Soldatenlied. Does anyone have the lyrics for the SS version? Anyway, I know there is at least one former SS on the board so I'm taking "a shot in the dark" here a bit.

Wir SA (SS) sind lust'ge Brüder
Re: Wir SA (SS) sind lust'ge Brüder
Hello, Dave.
The song is indeed an NS variant of the old folk song, adapted for the SA/SS by Bernhard Kutsch and used in trio of his march of the same name.

Hello Ivan,
A big thank you for the lyrics! If only the LSSAH version had the choir...
