[Split from Unidentified radio/newsreel music]

What is the music played in the first part of this Wochenschau (Dönitz´s inspection)?

Does anybody know the music that is played in the background of the end of the Deutsche Wochenschau No. 690, showing Speer visiting Dönitz and inspecting a submarine? It starts at 16:15 and extends until the end at 19:25. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xdr91oOu9gg

Hello and :welcome:

Starting at 17:06, there is "U-Boote fahren" (music by Kurt Rasch, lyrics by Alfred Schneider, 1942).

Cheers,
Ivan

Hello everyone!
I think it's worth adding about the versions of this song. I found only two versions:

- Musikkorps des Luftnachrichten-Regiments des Oberbefehlshabers der Luftwaffe (Kristall) - (stanza 1 and 2 are sung)
- Musikkorps des Regts. General Göring (Polydor) - (stanza 1 and 3 are sung)

These are all I could find. Maybe there were some other versions? Perhaps there is a radio version where all the stanzas are sung.

Have a good day!

Hello!

Hans Friess made another recording in 1943 for Odeon label. You can find it on "Немецкие марши" CD.

Thank you very much for the specified version! For some reason I didn't notice her right away. I made a mistake, the Polydor version sings stanzas 1 and 4.
